Community Service and Leadership
In 1995, Walt was elected to the York County Board of Supervisors, where he proudly served the first district for over two decades. He felt privileged to contribute to the community of York County, which included historical landmarks like Yorktown, where American freedom was secured. His work in local government reflected his belief in civic duty and service to others.

Walt Zaremba brought over three decades of legal experience to Zaremba Center, having built a reputation as a trusted attorney at law focusing on estate planning and elder law. His career began with a focus on various legal areas, but he quickly found his passion in helping families navigate the complexities of estate planning. Walt understood the emotional nuances of these decisions and worked closely with clients to develop plans that honored their wishes and protected their loved ones. He retired on September 30, 2024.

A Distinguished Military Career
Walt’s dedication to service began long before his legal career; he enlisted in the United States Army after high school and advanced from Private to Colonel. As a Special Forces (Green Beret) Officer, he completed two combat tours in Vietnam and held various leadership roles, earning notable accolades such as the National Distinguished Service Medal and the Purple Heart. His overseas tours, in addition to Vietnam, included assignments to Germany, Italy, Korea, and Somalia. He is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. His military experience instills in him a profound understanding of discipline, leadership, and commitment to community.

Educational Background
Walt Zaremba's educational journey laid a strong foundation for his legal career. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas Lutheran College, where he developed a solid understanding of legal principles and governance. Walt then pursued a Master’s degree in Political Science from Kansas University, further enhancing his analytical skills and comprehension of complex political structures. He culminated his academic achievements by obtaining a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University, equipping him with the legal knowledge necessary to navigate the intricacies of estate planning and elder law effectively.
